In North India especially Punjab celebrates the Baisakhi festival with great joy and gaiety. On the beat of drums and drums, young men and women sing songs welcoming this celebration of nature and express their joy by congratulating each other and dancing danced around. The tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh laid the foundation of the Khalsa Panth in the year 1699 at Anandpur Sahib on the day of Baisakhi. Its 'Khalsa' is derived from the word Khalis. Which means - pure, holy or holy. The main goal of Guru Gobind Singh behind the establishment of the Khalsa-Panth was to liberate the people from the atrocities of the then Mughal rulers and to improve their religious, moral and practical life.

Through this creed, Guru Gobind Singh also gave the people a vision of giving importance to human feelings in mutual relations instead of discriminating based on religion and caste. Special festivities are celebrated in Sikh Gurdwaras on this day. Joy is expressed on the standing crop in the field. It is considered important to bathe in the holy rivers of North India on the occasion of Baisakhi festival. Therefore, it is our religion to bathe in the river in the morning on this day. Baisakhi is a folk festival in which the euphoria of preparing the crop after harvest is visible. This festival brings the whole world closer to India.

Baisakhi is not just a festival for sending messages and making dishes. This is the time to convert the hard work of farmers into prosperity. If this is not done, then Baisakhi will remain depressed. Today is Baisakhi. Opportunity for farmers to dance, dance and sing. With the new crop, their houses and courtyards are filled with money.

Goddess Lakshmi comes to their home as a Rabi crop and they swing. When this grain reaches our plate through the market, only then we can gather energy and heat for our life. But this time it is not so. The crops are ready and the fields are depressed.


This sadness of the fields has come on the faces of the farmers, in the next few months, it will come on our plate and then in the heat and energy of our life. This possibility may also be true if adequate arrangements are not made for harvesting and procuring the finished crop immediately.
